King George brought his final tour to Music City over the weekend. Sheryl Crow opened this show with a great performace of all her hits and some of her newer singles since crossing over to country. A favorite part of her performance was “Redemption Song” which was a song she wrote and Johnny Cash recorded prior to passing away. It was very moving as the recorded voice of Johnny echoed the Bridgestone arena. This was not the final time Johnny would be a part of the concert…
Keith Urban delivered a two and a half hour flawless conclusion to his “Light The Fuse” concert tour Feb 1st . Afterwards, he jumped on a private jet to Morocco where wife Nicole is filming her next movie. Keith is certainly living the good life, he probably says it best himself when he sings “Who Wouldn’t Wanna Be Me?”
During a recent interview with up and coming group Parmalee it was uncovered that while on tour one member of the band was actually shot 5 times!
We talked about their first top 10 single “Carolina” and also the release of their self titled CD that hits store shelves 12/10/13.
However, as the interview progressed we found out that Scott Thomas was shot 5 times while on tour. Scott (2nd from left) looks pretty good for a guy who was shot 5 times, spent 40 days in the hospital – 10 of those in a coma. This all happened during a shoot out with thieves who attempted – and failed – to steal their equipment and RV. The incident occurred in North Carolina days before they were scheduled to perform a showcase in Nashville. Life on the road sounds like fun, huh..
“The Voice” winner and recent Big Machine Label artist held a low-key performance at the top of the Sheraton in downtown Nashville. Danielle’s performance which included her hit “Heart of Dixie” was wonderful and the location provided the perfect back-drop to create a mesmerizing atmosphere.
