Rascal Flatts will not be stopped

May 8th, 2010 · No Comments

Despite their record label closing up shop here in Nashville, Rascal Flatts are, excuse the pun, “Unstoppable.”

But seriously, nothing can stop their huge fanbase from supporting the guys. So, don’t worry — Rascal Flatts are going to be just fine! We recently caught up with Jay who told us, not surprisingly, that it’s tough to make it in the music biz!

Check it out below as we spin “Unstoppable” in this week’s Lifestyle feature:

Josh Thompson — Way Out Here

May 6th, 2010 · 2 Comments

Josh Thompson’s new single, “Way Out Here,” is also the title of his stellar debut album. But, according to Josh, the song was written just before he went to the studio to record the album. So what would the album have been called if the song hadn’t been written in time?? Well, any track on the album could probably have done the job, but Josh says that “Way Out Here” sums it all up.

Check it out below as we hear from Josh and spin his new one, “Way Out Here.”

Steve Azar makes his own music

May 4th, 2010 · 1 Comment

A lot of Country artists bounce around between record labels during the course of their career. And Steve Azar is no exception: his first two albums were released by different labels, then his third album was going to be released by another label but then he left that label to release the album on his own label. Are you still with me??

It sounds complicated to me and it did to Steve, too. That’s why he’s doing his own thing now with Ride Records. He released his latest album, Slide On Over Here, last year and his new single, “Sunshine,” is making its way up the charts now.

Check out Steve below as he brings us a little “Sunshine” in this week’s Lifestyle feature:

Matt Kennon gets a day job

April 27th, 2010 · 2 Comments

Before Matt Kennon was moving “The Call” up the charts, he was moving motorcycles in Clarksville, TN. It’s true — even aspiring hitmakers have to pay the bills! Of course selling choppers sounds like a pretty cool gig to me too!

Listen in as we catch up with Matt in this week’s Lifestyle feature:
